Now that the first survey cycle (2019–2023) has been completed and most of the data have been analysed, a summary report of the findings is available. The conclusions are clear, but also sobering: South Tyrol is one of Central Europe’s biodiversity hotspots, with an impressive diversity of species and habitats. Yet this wealth is coming under increasing pressure.
