Running waters

Running Waters

South Tyrol is rich in water. Every year, large quantities fall on our surface as rain or snow. A large part of it runs off the surface and forms streams and rivers. The Biodiversity Monitoring South Tyrol examines a large number of water body locations. We focus on the collection of larvae of various aquatic insects, such as caddisflies and stoneflies. The survey of the water bodies will start this year, the time span in which all surveys are completed is 4 years.
