Biodiversity is conditioned by many different factors. It is especially the different forms of land use that are crucial to determine whether biodiversity can develop in a specific area, or whether biodiversity comes under pressure. The lecture will give an overview of which forms of land use, especially in South Tyrol, come into conflict with biodiversity and what the priority measures would be to preserve biodiversity in its quality and integrity.
Thomas Wilhalm is curator for botany at the Museum of Nature South Tyrol.
The colloquium will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 8th, at the Museum of Nature South Tyrol in German language. Admission is free. Online registration is required.
