The colloquium will take place ONLINE on March 10 at 6:00 pm.
In recent decades, the number of introductions of alien invasive species has been steadily increasing. The brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys), native to Asia, began its invasion in the late 1990s and has now become established in many countries in the Northern Hemisphere. At the Laimburg Research Centre, it has been a central component of diverse research activities, from basic understanding of its biology to biological regulation, since its first detection in South Tyrol in 2016.
Stefanie Fischnaller is engaged in studies on the biology of diverse insects of agronomic interest for South Tyrol at Laimburg Research Centre. Martina Falagiarda deals with sustainable regulation possibilities of invasive insects at Laimburg Research Centre.
The colloquium will be held in German and Italian language.
Free entry.
