Our cities are not only home to people, but also to many animals and plants. Some even occur almost exclusively here. The lecture gives an overview of nature in the city with current research results from South Tyrol. Finally, it also deals with what each of us can do for the biodiversity in the city.
“Biodiversity in the city – an overview with current scientific results from South Tyrol” is the topic of the event. It is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Interreg V-A Italy-Austria 2014 – 2020. With his keynote lecture and his research topics, Andreas Hilpold from the Institute for Alpine Environment of Eurac Research Bolzano will focus on the questions and needs of society. The aim is to obtain knowledge-based answers regarding species protection and to develop effective measures for the future.
